Hunger Action Month Events 2026
- Sept 4 – Blood Drive — Corner of 18th & L St. (across from Sequoia Sandwich Co.), 10:00 AM–3:00 PM. Donate 6 cans of non-perishable food for a chance to win a KC Fair wristband.
- Sept 19 – Community Box Building Day — CAPK Food Bank, 520 Washington St., Bakersfield, CA, 8:00–11:00 AM and 1:00–4:00 PM. Volunteers help build food boxes for community members in need.
- Sept 29 – Feed the Need at KC Fair — Kern County Fair, 1142 S. P St., Bakersfield, CA, 4:00–6:00 PM / 6:00–8:00 PM / 8:00–10:00 PM. Bring 6 canned food items per person for free fair admission that evening.

FREE ZUMBA CLASSES
Get moving, have fun, and stay active with free Zumba classes at Friendship House Community Center! Join us for energetic, instructor-led Zumba sessions with an experienced Zumba instructor. Classes are open to all fitness levels, and no reservations are required.
