    Director of Community Development

    Directs creation and implementation of the CAPK Strategic Plan. Directs overall relationship building with community partners, foundations corporate, private, government, elected officials and the general public. Develops and implements strategies regarding new initiatives and programs based on the needs of the communities we serve, including expansion of existing programs and services.
    Progressive experience in program design and management; development and monitoring of budgets and contracts; grant writing; research and writing and strategic planning. Progressive experience in management of and overview of grant writing responsibilities. Experience in working with federal, state and local government and private funding sources.
    Provides direction and guidance to the Grants Manager and Outreach Manager on overseeing program development, contract and fund development along with outreach and advocacy efforts.
    Demonstrates successes in securing programs and/or economic development funding and or fundraising efforts.
    At least five years senior management level experience, three if which must be in a supervisory capacity, to include organizing and coordinating administrative activities, and the development and managing of budgets. Graduation from a four-year college or university OR any equivalent combination of education and/or experience which will provide the capabilities to perform the described duties may be acceptable.

Responsible for assuring quality service, including hiring, scheduling and training of staff; supervising staff on all shifts; for planning and developing program policies and procedures for the future direction of 211; BA/BS in Business Administration orrelated filed; courses in psychology and/or social work is highly desirable.
