VITA volunteers provide tax return preparation services to our tax payers. They also can do many other duties within the office i.e, check in tax payers at the front desk, bring the tax payers back to a preparer, answer phones, schedule appointments and data entry.

All volunteers go through a minimum of 36 hours of classroom training and are required to take an IRS competency test in order to volunteer in our office.

Once trained and the office opens for business all volunteers are asked to provide at least 2 four hour shifts each week during the tax season.
