3) The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) is a financial boost for people working hard to make ends meet. The EITC is a refundable tax credit. This means taxpayers may get money back, even if they have no tax withheld. To qualify for this credit you must have earned income. You must either have a qualifying dependent or be between the ages of 25 and 65 with no qualifying dependents. For more information please call our office.
4) BANKING SERVICES
During the tax season (Jan-Apr), some of CAPK VITA’s banking partners are available at certain times at our VITA sites to offer banking services for individuals who may not have checking or savings accounts. Our banking partners can open a new account for you while you are here to file your tax return. You will leave here with your banking information and direct deposit of your tax return.
5) DEBIT CARD
We also have a debit card program that is a free program. It only takes a couple of minutes to apply for your card and you can use your card for direct deposit of your tax return.
