Responsible for complex general accounting and financial reporting functions to include preparing financial statements, preparing budget to actual reports, reconciling bank accounts, and monitoring and analyzing assets liabilities, revenue and expenditures accounts. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or related field with at least 24 units in accounting and accounting related courses. Five years of progressive accounting experience, including two years of supervisory experience. Financial accounting experience in a non-profit organization or governmental entity is desirable, including familiarity with governmental accounting standards and regulations Possession of a valid California Driver’s license and state automobile insurance and acceptable driving record substantiated by a DMV printout. Provides nutrition assessments and nutrition education for the WIC participants. High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of three units of college level courses in Nutrition. Certification as a California WIC Nutrition Assistant or completion of the required training for certification within one year of hire. Supervises the day to day operations of a child development center including the supervision of all center staff either directly or indirectly ensuring compliance of all funding source regulations. May work as a teacher in the classroom. Provide a successful, safe and supervised educational setting for children while they are in the center. Provide the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of the children, provide on-going assessment on progress and facilitate transition into kindergarten. Responsible for maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations, policies and procedures. Must possess a valid California Site Supervisor Permit. Associate degree from any accredited college or university in Early Childhood Development, Education, Human Development or related field, is required. At least two years teaching experience working in a pre-school setting. Experience working in State or Federally Funded Child Care Program is desirable. Bilingual language fluency (Spanish/English) highly desirable.
