Emergency Food Assistance Program
Operating through 36 USDA commodity sites and over 70 pantries the Food Bank provided emergency food assistance throughout Kern County to food insecure residents.
Back Pack Buddy Program
This pilot program is currently operating in the Lamont and Lost Hills area. This program provides kid friendly food to eligible low-income children over the weekend. The food provided is designed to be easily prepared and healthy.
Student Run Pantry
This unique program is ran by students after hours through the Food Bank. Students from a variety of groups help the Food Bank distribute food once a week from 5-6 pm. This program includes nutrition education and food preparation using food distributed at the pantry.
The Food Bank provides healthy foods to after school programs. With this program we are able to serve over 2,500 kids on a monthly basis.
