PURPOSE
To assist low-income individuals to better
utilize their available income by providing Weatherization
services to their home or apartment at no cost to the owner or
renter.

ELIGIBILITY
Homeowners or renters may qualify for Weatherization services if
they meet the following requirements:
- They reside in Kern County
- The specific Home Weatherization
Improvements are cost-effective, and;
- The household receives AFDC or SSI
(Supplemental Security Income).
Homeowners who have qualified for Community
Development Block Grant funds may request that Energy
personnel make the renovations to their homes.
COST:
Qualified customers will receive the
Weatherization improvement at no cost.
