PURPOSE
To assist households with one-time utility payments
to prevent disconnection of utility services. Utility assistance includes
paying propane, gas, firewood (if it is their only source of heating). In
addition to energy burden, households with vulnerable populations are
considered for assistance. For the purpose of providing assistance,
vulnerable populations are considered to be:
- 2 years or under
- 3 - 5 years
- 60 years or older
- Disabled
"Income eligible" households are
households whose income is or below 150% of the federally established
poverty guidelines.
