Head Start/State Child Development
Head Start & Early Head Start
Head Start provides high quality, early childhood education to children from pre-natal to five years-old through part-day, full-day and home-based programs. The program takes on a holistic approach by not only addressing the needs of the child, but by teaching parents to become advocates and self-reliant providers for their children through its Parent Policy Council and Family Engagement programs.
Central Kitchen prepares and delivers breakfasts, lunches, and snacks, for all children enrolled in CAPK’s Head Start/State Child Development Programs. During the summer, Central Kitchen coordinates the Summer Food Service Program, providing free, nutritious meals to youth aged 18 and under.
