Positive Parenting
Educating parents and empowering them with tools for positive and healthy parenting, with an emphasis to become more active, and involved in the lives of their children. Classes satisfy court mandates and are approved by the Department of Human Services. The program curriculum covers many issues facing parents today.  Topics include:

Child Neglect/Sexual Abuse
Life Strategies
Goal Setting

V.I.P. – Visitation Intervention Program
Provides supervised visits for males referred to the program by court for visitation with their children. 

Teen Dads
Provide groups for incarcerated and non-incarcerated teen fathers.  Currently, the Fatherhood Program provides services at Crossroads and Camp Owens Juvenile facilities.

Bonding Socializations
Providing fathers the opportunity to bond with their children through various educational field trips and positive fun-filled learning environments.

Fatherhood Focus Group
Serves as a continuous method for program improvement, satisfaction, and assessment through the perspective of actual fathers receiving services through the Fatherhood Program.  The focus group provides a sounding board for fathers to give constructive feedback, and discuss issues that concern fathers today, and assist the program in effectively reaching out and providing successful services to the community, to fathers and significant male role-models.

Substance Abuse Program
Provides out-patient services for Fatherhood participants, including individual and group counseling sessions for fathers who need or seek substance abuse counseling and intervention services.

Annual Fatherhood Conference
The Fatherhood Program has held 3 annual conferences.  Last year’s conference was successful, totaling over 250 participants.  This year’s 4th annual conference will also include dynamic presenters and workshops that provide participants with the tools to become empowered, responsible and involved fathers and men in the lives of their children.  The conference helps to promote positive and healthy relationships for families in the community.

FACT – Fatherhood Advisory Collaborative Team
The Fatherhood Advisory Collaborative Team consists of a variety of members of community partnerships, local agencies who assist the Fatherhood program in planning, accomplishing goals and objectives, and the overall implementation of program needs.  The F.A.C.T. serves as a resource and network collaboration to build community linkag
